Students to Make Fleece Blankets for Those in Need During First "Make a Difference Monday" on Sept. 10th"Make a Difference Mondays" will be the first Monday of every month. There is a dedicated time during the school day for the children to engage in a service project that will affect their community. On Monday, September 10th students will partner with their buddy classes to make fleece blankets to give to Project Linus, an organization that provides love, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Learn more about Project Linus here. Other projects for later in the school year will include making cards to send to the children at our sister church in Cuba, making cards to send to our service men and women, Christmas caroling at a local assisted living facility, and others. If you would like to help with any of our projects, please don't hesitate to let your homebase teacher know. They would love to have an extra set of hands. Join us for our first PSO General meeting where you’ll hear more about our math program at BES. Ms. Bittengle and Mrs. Cinnamond will be our featured speakers. The PSO General Meeting will take place on Thursday, September 27th right after morning carpool (approximately 8:00 a.m. in the Hope Hall Music Room). We hope you'll make plans now to attend.
