SH29A closure this weekend - detours in place

SH29A between the Baypark and Te Maunga roundabouts will be closed from 9pm Friday, 23 November to 4am Monday, 26 November 2018 to allow for stone column ground improvement works to be carried out.

Detours will be in place along Truman Lane and Mangatawa Link Road. Traffic delays are expected.

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes where possible or plan travel outside of these hours to avoid the detour. This work is weather dependent, and if delayed will be carried out on the next suitable weekend.

Intended programme for next week (weather dependent, therefore subject to change)

Owens Place  A contra flow remains in place during service relocation works in the verge next to HomeZone.
Minimal traffic delays are expected. Sunday 18 October to Saturday 24 November 2018. Nights & days: ongoing

Matapihi Road A pedestrian diversion is in place near Golf 360 during water relocation works. No delays are expected. Sunday 18 October to Saturday 24 November 2018. Nights & days: ongoing.

SH2 - northbound Truck and trailer movements through Site Access Points 3, 4 and 6 to deliver pumice, sand and aggregate for roading and stone columns. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Monday 19 October to Friday 23 November 2018.
Days: 9am to 4pm.

Long-term traffic management
• State Highway 2 between Te Maunga roundabout and Concord Avenue - narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
• Matapihi Road, adjacent to the golf driving range – narrowed lanes and a 30km/h temporary speed restriction is in place for the duration of the project.
• Girven Road, near the Bayfair roundabout - narrowed lanes are in place for the duration of the project and the right-turn from the Bayfair Shopping Centre car park onto Girven Road is permanently closed.
• Access onto State Highway 2 / Maunganui Road from Exeter Street is closed for about 18 months. Resident only access.
• SH29A near Baypark – narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.

 
Advanced notice of significant works

SH29A Closure of SH29A between the Te Maunga and Baypark roundabouts to install stone columns. Sign posted detour will be in place. Traffic delays are expected. Friday 23 November to Monday 26 November 2018. Nights & days: 9pm Friday to 4am Monday.

SH2 - TEL Northbound lane closure required while barriers are placed near the Te Maunga intersection to establish a new work area. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Sunday 25 November to Tuesday 27 November 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

SH2 - northbound Lane closures required during installation of settlement plates near Matapihi Road. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Tuesday 27 November and Wednesday 28 November 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

Matapihi Road A contra flow will be in place between Owens Place and the rail crossing during installation of kerb and channel near Home Zone. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Tuesday 27 November to Thursday 29 November 2018. Nights: 7pm to 6am.
