Hello ,

It has been quite a while since our last check in. Please take a moment to quickly browse our latest news below - we only do this twice a year so there is a lot to catch up on.

Enjoy!

Tiny Timber Homes

A Wild Tiny Timber Appears!

The first Tiny Timber was completed in May and the next two have already begun construction. Below you can see a photo of raising the roof on the second prototype.

It's tedious and time consuming to build scaffolding and put a roof together two stories up. So the process bypasses all that difficulty by building the complete roof, trusses, shingles and all, on the ground! Then the roof is lifted into place like a gigantic hat.

New Staff!

STREAM is pleased to welcome Jeremiah, Steve, and Katerina to our team. We really don't make our staff wear plaid or shades of gray - it is just a natural phenomenon. We have a current opening for an Office Manager. If you are interested in joining the STREAM Team (or know someone) please visit www.streamcolab.com/employment

This E. State St. single family home addition/renovation and brand new garage has been given a Historic Preservation Award by Historic Ithaca. We have said before that even the smallest projects can be the most satisfying. Well, they can also be the most rewarding!

409 College Ave. - eHub Construction Update!

Things are moving quickly on the eHub College Ave project managed by Morse Construction Management. The project is the creation of a dynamic new space for the offices of Student Agencies, Inc., their affiliated not‐for‐profit, and their student‐run companies. This space will host the "eHub" a Cornell business incubator for students. Seen in these pictures are STREAM's original facade redesign and a recent photo from construction. We love that you can see the university skyline from this off campus location.

215 W. Spencer

Here's an update on the 4-building, 12-unit hillside residential project planned for W. Spencer Street for PPM Homes. The project has broken ground. This striking interior render shows our ongoing efforts to design and visualize the best architectural experience we can - inside and out!

Form Ithaca - Buttermilk Village

STREAM Collaborative, Better! Cities & Towns Inc., and Randall + West Planners Inc. have been working on an Ithaca Form Based Code initiative to develop  both infill and new mixed-use walkable nodes. Here is one of our most recent renders from our South Hill charrette back in January. It is a bright, verdant, alternative vision for an underutilized development parcel in the Town of Ithaca.
