Weigh In On a Mural for the Cresheim Trail BridgeMonday, Feb. 26, 6:30 p.m., Lovett Library, 6945 Germantown Ave.
The public is invited to participate in selecting a mural artist for the Cresheim Trail Bridge over Germantown Avenue, just below Chestnut Hill. Monday's session will provide an overview of the project, sponsored by Mt. Airy USA, Mural Arts Philadelphia, Trolley Car Diner, Rotary Club of Chestnut Hill, Friends of the Cresheim Trail, Elfant Wissahickon Realtors and Mt. Airy Learning Tree. Three artist finalists will present proposals at public meetings in early May and June; the winner will be announced at the end of June. The city recently acquired the bridge from PECO, which will allow the trail to be extended to Stenton Avenue and into Montgomery County.
