Iyuno Respects People. This is our core value. It is core because it is an essential part of our culture in building a global business. We can’t work across over 30 countries as ONE Team without overtly and consistently displaying the utmost respect for others, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or creed. A 5-Step Action Plan has been created and initiated by HR and Internal Communication so that we can all participate in this critically historic and massive movement to help end injustice, racism and oppression towards minorities and our black communities. We have also updated our "Social Impact" page on our website, which features each step in our 5-Step Action Plan and what Iyuno will be doing to do our part. We will be updating every step on our social impact page on a weekly basis following each "Iyuno's Black Lives Matter Campaign" newsletter. With that said, this week we are sending out the fourth "Iyuno's Black Lives Matter Campaign" newsletter emphasising Step 4 - Donate At Iyuno, we are happy to donate to support our black communities and this movement. With that said, we will be donating to a charity that supports the people in our black community. We are confirming a charity and will announce the charity along with a link to it once we have made the donation this week. So keep a look out! Step 4 - DonateThis step is all about donating to our black communities in order to continue supporting this movement. Donations are an amazing way to support different areas of the black community. From education, artists, entertainment, businesses, shelter, legal, safety, you name it! And donating is something that can be done continuously and from a safe distance if participating in protests isn't an option. We have listed below - what to look for when picking a charity, things to think about when donating, and some charity review sites to help you find a good charity. What to look for when picking a charity 1. Start by thinking about your goals as a donor - Do you want to support early childhood education or the fine arts? Is your focus on health care or serving the homeless population? Do you want your gift to benefit a local charity or an organisation with a global focus? 2. Look at the mission - what is THEIR goal? Does it compliment your goals? 3. Evaluate its governance and finances - a clear mission by itself does not guarantee a charity will make the best use of its funding. 4. Ask questions - You may be able to answer many of your questions by reviewing the nonprofit’s website and printed materials. 5. Learn from the experts - In addition to your own research, you may wish to consider the organisations selected by expert observers of the nonprofit sector. Things to think about when donating Do you want to make it a recurring monthly donation? - if so, ensure that you have calculated the recurring amount so that you know that you can financially support it Never donate over the phone - Making a donation online means you can keep better track of your money and maximise its impact. See your donation as an investment - keep that in mind when you start earning more money, because that means that you have the means to give back more.
