Iyuno Respects People. This is our core value. It is core because it is an essential part of our culture in building a global business. We can’t work across over 30 countries as ONE Team without overtly and consistently displaying the utmost respect for others, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or creed. A 5-Step Action Plan has been created and initiated by HR and Internal Communication so that we can all participate in this critically historic and massive movement to help end injustice, racism and oppression towards minorities and our black communities. We have also updated our "Social Impact" page on our website, which features each step in our 5-Step Action Plan and what Iyuno will be doing to do our part. We will be updating every step on our social impact page on a weekly basis following each "Iyuno's Black Lives Matter Campaign" newsletter. With that said, this week we are sending out the second "Iyuno's Black Lives Matter Campaign" newsletter emphasising Step 2 - Investigate As stated on our Social Impact page, we have found Campaign Zero, which will be one of the platforms we will be using to research, gain more information from, and supporting. Please feel free to do that too and suggest others! Step 2 - InvestigateThis step is all about researching and investigating ways you can support the Black Lives Matter movement and our black communities in general. After self-educating, its important to research ways to put what you have learned into action. We have researched/investigated some ways you can take part in to support the Black Lives Matter movement, the protesters, POC allies, and white allies raising their voices in an international chorus against racism. Use these examples we have researched and do some investigating in your local community to find ways you can support this movement and black communities. Look for local or global petitions Change.org - this is a great site to find petitions that people around the world have started to move the needle and make a difference in the black lives matter movement. This is also a great platform to learn more stories of black people who were victims of police brutality and racism. Research this site and find hundreds of petitions created to get justice for the black lives lost. Black Lives Matter.com- this is also a great site with relevant petitions pushed by BLM.com Discover and list out black owned businesses and restaurants in your area Here is a business directory of black owned businesses that you can research and find out if you can support. Here is another site to find and research black owned businesses. We encourage you to investigate and find black owned businesses and restaurants in your local community . Find local events and protests (participate in the protests safely please) Find Facebook groups and events - search for "Black Lives Matter" or "George Floyd" in the Groups tab to see if there's something happening in your area. If you don't see a set date or time a march or protest is taking place, reach out to the group to get more information. Search by Twitter hashtags - many protest organisers who are using Twitter to post about their causes update their timelines frequently, so it's a good resource to find more information on the next event in your area. Start by hashtagging the city you live in. Simple investigate and use Google to find local protests and events. Research and find local places, online presences, or local areas that have limited representation of the black community Research your local schools, shops, online stores or websites, restaurants and see if there is enough representation of the black community. Use that research to create a voice to push for more representation. Find some online stores where you can buy "BLM" merchandise that donate proceeds to the movement Black Lives Matter.com - this site has merch you can buy where proceeds go to the cause Stylecaster.com -this site also supports ant-racist organisations by donating proceeds. Use these examples to research and find more stores (doesn't have to be clothes) that will help you be part of the support. IYUNO MEDIA GROUP | HR |
