Show your support this Purim

(L-R) Selection of Megillot Esther (Scrolls of Esther) on display in the Jewish Year Gallery.
Museum volunteer Bev Cohen with Justice Howard Nathan at the Annual Volunteer Morning Tea on 2 December 2013.

"To me one of the greatest joys in life is giving." - Bev Cohen, Museum volunteer.

Purim is a time of celebration and sharing our good fortune with others. It is a festival that has resonated for generations, and is a powerful and moving story of Jewish continuity and strength. Bev and our other volunteers make a vital contribution in enabling the Museum to celebrate the vibrancy of Jewish culture to the community. This Purim you can make a gift that would allow us to continue sharing our many great stories and recognising the rich history of the Jewish people in Australia. If you’d like to take the opportunity at Purim to donate you can do so clicking here.

In Season exhibition – New autumn activities for children!

There’s a time for all seasons, or so it is said,
and as March begins, the trees turn golden and red.
As the temperature dips and the days grow cold,
there’s all kinds of autumn beauty to behold.

It's beautiful to watch the seasons changing, both inside and outside the Museum. Be sure to visit the In Season exhibition anytime during the autumn months and have your little ones peg autumn leaves on our tree!
