Garonga Safari Camp undergoes massive upgradeGaronga Safari Camp will reopen on 01 June in new glamour! Bernie is using the current 3 month closure period to completely revamp and upgrade Garonga Safari Camp. Whilst he is dashing around the building site, his team is sitting in the "class room". Particular focus is on sharpening the skills of the Garonga guides, to ensure an formidable wildlife experience for the guests. Now those who are nosy and keen to know what is happeining on the building site, here are some first pictures. The overall atmosphere of Garonga is to stay, however a proper revamp will ensure that Garonga Safari Camp remains on the very high standard it has always been know for. A very generous deck will stretch out infront of the main area of Garonga, giving all guests an opportunity to enjoy the bush vistas from their tables. There will be a new fire place on the main deck as well. The outside showers of each tent will receive a new look as well. We can´t wait to see more. Towards end of November, early December we are hence planing an educational trip which would also include Ant´s Collection in the Waterberg and Makakatana amongst others. Garonga implements conservation fee as of 01 JuneTo all Garonga friends,most of you know Bernie´s dedication in driving conservation matters forward at Garonga. He has contributed substantially in increasing the wildlife stock on Makalali Reserve over the years and especially over the past few months. Sadly we all know that some animal species require additional security and hence Garonga has implemented a conservancy levy of R 160.00 per person per night. This will be effective from reopening on 01st June and the levy is to be paid by guests at Garonga. This is also valid for any bookings already placed with Garonga. Rest assured, your clients wildlife experience at Garonga will be phenomenable! |
