St John's School Euroa Newsletter Term 3 Week 8 St John's is a Child Safe School where all children are respected and are protected from harm. Principal's Message Dear Parents, Welcome to Week 8! I hope this finds everyone well and ready to leave winter behind and embrace the warmth and sun of spring. As I write this, we are still waiting for formal instructions from Catholic Education about when students will return to on-site learning. I assume that Daniel Andrew’s address on Sunday will provide us with more clarity. We will be in touch as soon as we know. Let’s hope our return date is not far away. Condolences - We send our condolenses and love to Alicia, Nathan, Lucas, Ryder and Eligh McLure and their family, on the passing of their much loved Father and Grandfather David. Please keep the family in your prayers at this sad time. Thank you - A massive thank you to Phil Crowe (parent of Caitlan 2019 and husband of Lisa), who nearly every weekend gives his up time to mow and curate our oval. Thank you Phil, you’ve got the oval up to AFL standard at the end of winter, we appreciate your generosity. Remote Learning Survey - Thank you to the parents who took the time to complete the survey about remote learning. Brenton and Katherine have collated the results which has provided valuable feedback on improving student learning. Board Meeting - The Board meeting that was planned for late this term has been cancelled. I will email out an update in the next week or so. Parent Communication - Due to our return to remote learning, we will not be conducting formal parent/teacher interviews this term. All parents are encouraged to get in touch with their child’s classroom teacher if they have any questions or concerns about any aspect of their child’s learning. Father’s Day -This weekend is Father’s Day. As we are unable to hold our Father’s Day breakfast, Mrs Watson has kindly offered to put together an imovie to celebrate our Dad’s or important male role models in our students lives. If you would like to be a part of this please email a photo to Mrs Watson via mwatson@sjeuroa.catholic.edu.au before this Friday. Casserole Bank - We would like to thank those families who have kindly donated food to our Casserole Bank. We will distribute to families in times of need. Thank you. Have a great week, Libby St John's acknowledges the Taungurung People as the traditional custodians of the land on which we work, play and live. Calendar of Events
Religious Education Week 6 Prayer God is with me, but more, God is within me, giving me existence. Let me dwell for a moment on God’s life-giving presence. In my body, my mind, my heart And in my whole life. May your Holy Spirit guide me in all my dealings with others. May I use the gift of speech with kindness. Open our ears: To hear what you are saying to us today. Open our eyes: To see where Jesus’ healing love is needed in our world. Open our hands: To do your work and help where help is needed. Open our lips: To bring comfort. Joy and laughter to your people. Open our minds: To hear new truths about how you work in our world. Open our hearts: To you, our neighbours, and ourselves as you love us.
