Stigma hurts everyone

Even though medicine long ago reached a consensus that substance use disorder is a complex brain disorder with behavioural components, many continue to view it as a result of moral weakness and flawed character. The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction is offering three free online learning modules to address the stigma surrounding substance use.

Live chat for secondary students

Live Chat is an online chatting service for students to ask School Nurses any questions they have regarding their health and wellness. Live chat access is found on the School Health page and will be available from Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 4:00pm. We encourage promotion of this resource as it is a great opportunity for students to receive timely and accurate information in a confidential and safe space.

Pathstone Walk in Clinic now in Grimsby

The Grimsby Benevolent Fund (GBF) Community Services is proud to be able to financially co-sponsor the walk-in clinic in Grimsby. Access to service is probably the greatest hurdle for people to get on-going  mental health supports. It is so vital to have this kind of service available for youth and their families locally. We are extremely proud to be a part of keeping this clinic in Grimsby.
