Nine organizations from Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine receive planning grants to advance greater success for all students. This is the first of three cohorts in Barr’s Engage New England: Doing High School Differently initiative, focused on investing in new school models intentionally designed for students who are off track to graduate.

Barr is pleased to announce the appointments of Dr. M. Lee Pelton and Dr. Susan Tierney to its Board of Trustees. Elected to three-year terms beginning September 2017, they will join Barr’s founding trustees, Barbara and Amos Hostetter, and president, Jim Canales.
