Come learn Lindy Hop! You'll build the dance from the basics while learning some of the history of this Black American art form.

Fundamentals: Classic Lindy Hop Moves
We’re excited to explore common rhythms and patterns you’ll use on the dance floor! If you’ve been wanting to learn more moves, this class is for you. Plus, we’ll spotlight the legendary Lindy Hoppers who started it all!
Intermediate: Get in the Mood: Textures and Tones
Feeling on auto-pilot? Want more expression? Explore textures, from smooth to sassy, grounded to bouncy, to make your Lindy Hop as rich as the music. Come ready to play, experiment, and find your unique style.
Audition: From YouTube to You Do
Watching dance videos is so fun! Unlike real life, you can pause, rewind, and slow them down to learn more. In my opinion, watching for fun and watching to learn are totally different—and this class is all about the latter ;)
Adventure: Tranky Doo
Looking for an opportunity to level up your jazz vocabulary and technique? This is your chance, The Tranky Doo is originally choreographed by Frankie Manning and it is an iconic line dance often performed to Ella Fitzgerald’s “The Dipsy Doodle”.

Fast Room

WNH will dedicate a room to all things “fast swing.” This could mean uptempo Lindy Hop, or dancing other swing dances such as Balboa or Collegiate Shag that evolved with faster music. Give it a whirl!
