LOCAL NEEDS AMONG UTAH'S MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITIES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Utah Multicultural Commission & the Utah Martin Luther King Jr. Human Rights Commission, have prepared a report that provides insight into the unique impact COVID-19 has had on Utah's underserved and underrepresented communities.

Their hope is that we can work together to ensure that this crisis does not exacerbate existing inequities by reducing risks and burdens often borne disproportionately by marginalized groups. Read the full report here.

UAFP Resource Pages

UAFP has created COVID-19 resource pages for you to access as needed. We have three lists that we update regularly:

  • Practice-related Information
  • Physician Wellness
  • Resources for Patients (such as emergency assistance programs for low-income and at-risk populations)

Have a suggestion for additional resources to add to any of these lists? Or have another suggestion about how UAFP can support you and your practice during these uncertain times? Please reach out to us by email or call us at 801-736-0722 and let us know!

What is an AAFP Commission? And Why Should I Be On One?

The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) is a member-driven organization and does amazing work on our behalf. AAFP Commissions are one of the organization’s most effective structures used to ensure member input is considered on critical topics.

Utah members have a variety of perspectives and types of practices, and the AAFP wants to hear from people like us. Learn more...
