Beginners:
6-count Lindy Hop

Come learn Lindy Hop! You'll build the dance from the basics while learning some of the history of this Black American art form. 

Fundamentals: Partnered Charleston Variations

In this class, we'll learn all about partnered Charleston and you'll get to try exciting moves such as barn doors, airplanes, and hand-to-hand. If you're looking for a way to dance to faster music – this class will give you plenty of moves!

Intermediate: Groovin'

Explore what it means to really groove to the music – filling spaces in between beats and responding to textures of the music. Learn how to play with different tempos of swing music, and use complex body movement to connect across a variety of rhythms and moves.

Audition: Leveraging Counterbalance

Come learn how to ask or interpret changes in counterbalance in the partnership, and how to use that counterbalance in challenging moves and variations!

Adventure: Breaking Patterns in Collegiate Shag

An all-levels class focused on building and refining shag fundamentals, giving us the tools to break out of the 6-count basic. By working on our connection, we’ll find pattern breaks that add opportunities for rhythmic variation and musicality. 

3/12: DJ Ainibubu

WNH will dedicate a room to all things “fast swing.” This could mean uptempo Lindy Hop, or dancing other swing dances such as Balboa or Collegiate Shag that evolved with faster music. Give it a whirl!
