Welcome to our new Executive Director
|
In 2020, the Foundation will continue to engage in cost-effectively raising funds to support children and their families today, while also working closely with world-class organisations, learning more about the unknown and making progress towards improving childhood cancer survival rates.
As we work towards our goals, we officially welcome Jeff Darmanin to the team. Jeff who led the Foundation in an interim capacity during late 2019, has formally accepted the position of Executive Director for the Foundation, for a 3-year term commencing January 1, 2020.
While now working in a formal capacity, Jeff has been generously sharing his commercial skills and a lifetime of experience in running businesses both large and small, as non-executive Director with the Children’s Cancer Foundation since 2016.
Jeff’s close personal connection to the Foundation began over a decade ago, in 2009; the year the course of his family’s lives would change forever.

World Cancer Day
|
While it’s always the case for us at the Foundation, February is bustling with cancer conversation and action globally. February 4 marks World Cancer Day on the international calendar, as individuals, businesses and communities come together to acknowledge cancer’s impacts and commit to supporting better diagnosis, treatment and care.

International Childhood Cancer Day
|
February 15 casts a spotlight on International Childhood Cancer Day. With no confirmed links to the causes of childhood cancers, in 2020 and beyond, our priority continues to be investing in paediatric cancer research that will significantly improve childhood cancer the outcomes.

Why these days matter
|
Benevolent and successful treatments are the focus of many of the projects we fund. We are proud to have directed more than 86% of our project funding towards clinical research, trials and training expert clinicians.
These childhood cancer days in February are a powerful platform for inspiring others to support the cause by sharing our story or making a thoughtful and informed donation.
