Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Welcome to Term 4.
Hats - Now that the weather is warming up students are required to wear hats when they are outside. Please make sure that your child’s hat is clearly named and we encourage students to leave their hat at school so it can’t be forgotten.  Thank you!
Thank you - Thaks to Andrew Kelly and Steve Hill for getting our bikes ready for the students to use this term. Thank you to Melissa Brown for the succulent cuttings she has given us for our garden beds.
Return to School - An email was sent out at the end of last week regarding return to school arrangements until Week 4. Please take time to read the letter.                                                                                                            Camp and Junior Excursion - Unfortunately, due to the new Victorian Government School Guidelines that were released on Sunday night we have had to cancel the Year 3/4 camp to Harrietville and the F-2 Junior Excursion to Echuca. Parents have been credited any money that has been paid to their accounts.
Mercy Cross -  Over the holidays a cross was installed at the end of the school oval facing Binney St. The beautiful wooden cross was crafted by the very talented Rowan Craven from “Craven Made”. Rowan is now working on a large nativity scene that will be placed under the cross during the Christmas season. Thank you to Louise Frewen for organising this for our school. Enrolments - If you know of any families that are intending on enrolling in our school for Foundation 2022 could you please ask them to get in touch with the school as soon as possible. We would like to finalise enrolments very soon.      School Closure - The scheduled school closure for our staff sabatical for the 18th and 19th of October has been postponed until next year.

Kinds regards,
Libby Hamilton

Religious Education

Week 1 Prayer

God of infinite love and compassion…..  As we navigate the turbulence and uncertainty of the pandemic, hold us close.

When the light of hope at the end of the tunnel flickers and grows dim, give us courage to meet the constant challenges.

Give strength and patience to our brothers and sisters in Shepparton as they face yet another hurdle.  Walk with them in this difficult time and give them peace in their anxiety.  When we cannot physically be with each other, let us find ways to be your loving presence to them.

We entrust to you the families and communities affected by Coronavirus, wherever they may be. Be close to those who are ill, afraid or in isolation and console those who are alone in our communities across the Diocese.

Bless the medical staff who care for those affected with Covid and strengthen them with your Spirit.

We offer our prayer to you Lord, in faith and trust.

 Amen
