Winter Short-Term Mission Teams
Were a Blessing!
I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthian 1:4 (ESV)
Those who traveled far from home to volunteer their time and practical skills as short-term missionaries this winter were a blessing to two OP foreign mission fields and one OP church plant! Thank you Raun, James, Steve, Carrie, Austin, Aijalon, David, and Travis! Scroll down for spring, summer, and year-round short-term mission opportunities, including the ongoing need for volunteers for hurricane relief in Houston! The Neon renovation story, below, is a great example of churches helping churches! Can your church use a team this summer? Click here to complete a Request Form and we'll help you find one!

OPC Disaster Response:
Puerto Rico Update
Rev. Bradney Lopez (OP Church Planter in Arroyo); Elder Jonathan Layana; David Nakhla; and Rob Brinks (Administrative Director, Reformed Mission Services) meeting in Arroy0, Puerto Rico, March 2018.
David Nakhla visited Puerto Rico earlier this month to assess the situation 6 months post-Hurricane Maria. He visited the two OP churches in San Juan and the OP mission work in Arroyo. He met with church leaders, as well as Rob Brinks of Reformed Mission Services (RMS). RMS has been generously involved in the OPC's hurricane relief work in Houston. Now that daily life is returning to normal in Puerto Rico, with the restoration of electricity, water, internet, etc., more attention can be directed to buildings and property that sustained damage in the storm. There are ample opportunities to meet the needs of our brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico with financial gifts from OPC disaster response funds, and to encourage them by sending work and outreach
teams. As the Puerto Rico Disaster Response Committee of the Presbytery of New Jersey considers these options, we will keep you posted!
