Td-IPV Discontinued
- Td-IPV has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available for order
- As per the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, when Td-IPV is indicated, Td (Td Adsorbed®) and IPV (Imovax® Polio) are available to administer
separately
- In these instances, you may consider using Tdap-IPV (Adacel®-Polio or Boostrix®-Polio) to provide additional protection against pertussis if required
- Please review your vaccine needs and order sufficient doses of Td, IPV or Tdap-IPV
- Td-IPV stock currently in circulation expired on January 31, 2019. See"Excursions and Returns" for details on how to return expired vaccine.
Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Supply Depleted
- Due to increased demand, the provincial supply of most seasonal influenza vaccines (FluMist® Quadrivalent, FluLaval® Tetra, Fluzone® Quadrivalent) have been depleted
- Niagara Region Public Health and Emergency Services does not have influenza vaccine available to fill
orders
- Your office may direct clients wanting the flu vaccine to check with their local pharmacist regarding availability
- Please consider prioritizing any remaining doses you may have to populations that pharmacies are unable to immunize (e.g. children between 6 months to 4 years of age)
