NEW RADIO AD RELEASED: MICHIGAN OFFICIALS PROTECTED THE ABUSER "The University of Michigan was supposed to have the highest standards – but they’ve been keeping a terrible secret." ANN ARBOR - Listeners in Lansing and Detroit, MI are now hearing a new radio ad just released by Spotlight Michigan. The ad, running now until July 6, highlights how University of Michigan officials had multiple opportunities to fire Dr. Robert Anderson following numerous complaints by Wolverine athletes and students of rape, sexual assault, and sexual abuse. Instead, they promoted and protected a serial rapist. Click the image above to hear "Betrayed." Today Spotlight Michigan Spokesperson Autria Lindsay released the following statement in regards to the new ad: "The concerted coverup that happened by University of Michigan team leaders and administration officials is absolutely unacceptable and Michiganders should demand change so that it never happens again. The parents of these students entrusted university leadership to protect their children and keep them safe. Instead, those same officials protected Dr. Robert Anderson, a serial rapist; it's they were held accountable. We want to make sure those residents in Lansing and Detroit know how the school prioritized a predator over the safety of their children." ### Click here to watch "Number 1" Click here to watch "Betrayed" Click here to see the billboards recently put up in Ann Arbor.
