You will find the latest advice here. As part of its response, Council has suspended public programs at Council libraries, galleries and the Redland Performing Arts Centre until further notice. Council also is working with local event organisers to assist them in preparing for changes in line with the Australian Government’s direction to cancel static, non-essential outdoor gatherings of more than 500 people and indoor gatherings of 100 people or more. Australian Government Economic Stimulus PackageThe Australian Government announced a $17.6 billion economic stimulus package to keep Australians in jobs, keep businesses in business and support households and the Australian economy as the world deals with the significant challenges posed by the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Immediate Industry Recovery PackageThe Queensland Government has released an Immediate Industry Recovery Package, valued at $27.25m which will provide relief to affected Queensland industries, businesses and workers to help deal with the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Highlights include:
Support for small business and exporters - support to build resilience, grow and succeed. Support for industry - market diversification and resilience grants will be available. Support for tourism operators and hospitality providers - fees and charges relief for tourism operators impacted. Marketing and promotion - to target new markets and strengthen existing markets. Queensland Government Business Impact Survey The completion of this survey will help DESBT to understand the impact on your business and assess the support you need survey. Mentoring Sessions The mentoring for Growth program has more than 50 mentors ready to connect with impacted small businesses. Residential aged-careRedland City Council advises that every residential aged-care facility ensures staff are adequately trained and understand the practices that need to be put in place for the management of disease outbreaks. To help prevent transmission during an outbreak, routine cleaning should be increased for all common areas.
