We’re back! Behind the scenes of the Longest Lutheran Lunch has been a hive of activity! NEW theme! NEW website! NEW email address! 

I'm Andrea, your Longest Lutheran Lunch coordinator. Allow me to share some of this newness with you as we expand on the purpose of the Longest Lutheran Lunch. Our new theme is ‘Sharing the Gift of Service’ which embraces the original catch phrase ‘Sharing the Gift of Hospitality’. The two themes working together have stimulated new ideas around how to create and participate in a Longest Lutheran Lunch.

I've come up with a list of 20 ideas to help you create an event to suit the needs of your church community. These 20 Top Lunch Ideas are included on our new website, and of course our Facebook page has it covered as well.

Throw into the mix the LCA’s celebration of our 50th Birthday and suddenly our purpose is to praise and thank our awesome God who encourages us to reach out into our community and pass on the invitation to join us for lunch – and the celebration of the greatest gift of all, our Saviour.

Community Fun Run/Walk and Lunch

Organise one for your congregation. Invite your neighbours and community to join you,  and add a free breakfast or lunch. Make it as long or as short as you like. Be sure to make to open to people of all abilities, where the strong ones can push a wheelchair around the block!
