Women's Economic Resilience Summit

Women's Economic Resilience Summit

June 8 - 9, 2022 |11am ET

PFC is pleased to partner with Future of Good on their 2022 Women’s Economic Resilience. RSVP for the June 8 & 9 convening of changemakers working to advance gender equity and economic empowerment.

Women and gender-expansive people have rich histories of resilience in the face of oppression and exclusion.

We’ve seen these communities — particularly women of colour, queer, trans, and non-binary people, disabled women, and Indigenous women — have to pull from wells of resilience throughout the pandemic.

What if they didn’t have to? How might policymakers and social purpose organizations build economic systems that work for women and gender-expansive people?

The Future of Good Women’s Economic Resilience summit will convene changemakers and speakers working to advance gender equity and economic empowerment from across Canada and around the world. They’ll dive into feminist philanthropy, feminist movements, feminist public policy, and more.

PFC members register for free. Get in touch for more information.

Climate Commitment Roundtable

May 25, 2022 |1pm ET

Participation of boards, investment committee members and staff is highly encouraged. Join us for a lively discussion on effective climate governance, impact investing, and the philanthropic sector. For a long time, foundations have separated their grant-making function from their investment function. These two aspects of foundation management are increasingly coming together as investments can have a big impact on the causes they support.

In partnership with the Canada Climate Law Initiative, Rosalie Vendette, Associate at Quinn & Partners, and Eric St-Pierre, Executive Director at the Trottier Family Foundation, will discuss climate risk, impact investing in practice, fiduciary obligations with respect to climate change, and how a board can effectively govern with a climate lens.
