EQUESTRIAN VICTORIA NEWSLETTERJANUARY 20192019 is well and truly underway and the Equestrian Victoria community is preparing for some of the state's biggest equestrian events. January has already seen the running of the Equestrian Victoria Summer Show by our Show Horse Committee, held at Werribee Park. The following week, the Ellanbrae Park 2019 Victorian Youth Dressage Championships took place at Boneo Park. There are reports for both a little later on in this newsletter. Show Horse Victoria is in full swing once again with preparations for Barastoc Horse of the Year for 2019. This is the 50th anniversary of this marquee event and we pay tribute to Ridley Agricultural Products for their continuous and unwaivering support. Other major events to come in the next few months are the Equestrian Victoria Masters Games, PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars and the Interschools State Championships in April. We are lucky and proud to hold events of this caliber and encourage all members to support the hard-working committees either as a rider, spectator, or volunteer. The start of the year has been a busy one from an administration point of view. Pro-rata membership is now available for new members, so it's an excellent time to join us at Equestrian Victoria. We are also pleased to advise that we are in the process of establishing a formal Equestrian Victoria Carriage Driving Committee. The EV Board is at the half-way mark working hard against our Strategic Plan 2018 - 2022. We continue to be mindful of our long-term vision for the sport in Victoria and look forward to updating you on our progress against the plan later in the year. Until next, safe riding.
