Calling All Worker Bees! August 15, 9:00 AM – Noon It's time for fun and fellowship again, while we work to beautify the exterior of our Spiritual Home… Pioneer. Time to spruce it up before the new school year begins. We will meet at the parking lot end of the church to assign work areas. Pull
out your tools, sharpen them up, and please put your name on them to identify them as belonging to you. They will be used as "community tools" during the work bee. Be sure to bring your own work gloves. (We will need shovels, saws of all kinds, dandelion pickers, hedge trimmers, wheelbarrows, hoes, brooms, dustpans….any tool that you think could possibly be used.) Come out for some good old-fashioned work and fellowship fun. Thank you to all who gave their time putting their backs and tools into the project in the past. Looking forward to seeing each of you and the new volunteers on August 15.
—Karen Nelson
Pioneer Safety Update As we draw closer to Graduation weekend at Andrews University, Pioneer has been monitoring the spread of COVID-19, especially the Delta variant, closely. About 80% of the counties in our country are at substantial or high risk, as classified by the CDC, with Berrien being surrounded by substantial risk counties.
As the risks are higher in an indoor environment, with people coming from all over the country (and the world), we encourage all who worship and/or attend events at Pioneer this weekend to: - wear a mask
- practice social distancing, and
- practice good hand hygiene
We wish for everyone to return home safe and healthy. —Pioneer Safety Committee

Support SDA Church
Members in Madagascar Andrews University is helping to support the SDA church members in southwest Madagascar who are currently experiencing severe drought and famine in addition to the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, you can provide food to those in desperate need. We have been told that some members eat mud, roots, and leaves to try and remove hunger cramps.
Offering for August 7, 2021 A blessing is on the man who puts his faith in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he will be like a tree planted by the waters, pushing out its roots by the stream; he will have no fear when the heat comes, but his leaf will be green; in a dry year he will have no care, and will go on giving fruit.
