St John's School Newsletter Term 3, Week 10 St John's is a Child Safe School where all children are respected and are protected from harm. Principal's Message Dear Families, Welcome to the last week of term! As this is the last week of term, I hope that everyone has a relaxing break after a long and stressful Term 3. I hope that you can venture outside and enjoy warm spring days and spend time with family and friends. Thank you to all families for their patience and persistence during the remote learning period and we hope that next term, everyone can be back on site and lockdowns are a thing of the past. Lunch Orders - Unfortunately, there will be no lunch orders for the remainder of the year. Bibby from Fare Enough, like every other business, has found it difficult to provide the service in between lockdowns. We are grateful to Bibby and her staff at Fare Enough for providing excellent food and a prompt service for our students over the past couple of years. St John’s will investigate a replacement lunch order provider early next year. Student Free Day - A reminder that this Friday 17th September is a Student Free Day, so staff can undertake professional learning with FCJ College and St Joseph’s Benalla. School will conclude at the normal time of 3:15pm on Thursday 16th September. Further Lockdowns - If we happen to go back into lockdown over the holidays, could you please keep an eye on your emails at the end of the second week. I will send an email out late in that week, so we can organise on-site supervision and staffing. Year 3 and 4 Camp - At this stage we hope that the planned Year 3 and 4 camp to Harrietville can go ahead in Week 4, 27th-29th October. If at the last minute that we go into lockdown and we are unable to attend the camp, parents will receive a refund. 2022 Leadership T-Shirts & Hoodies - We are currently starting to organise Leadership T-Shirts and Hoodies for our 2022 year 6 students. Please keep an eye out for information regarding ordering. Fees - Statements were emailied out today. Parents are reminded that if you require assistance with fee payments to please contact me. Thank you to the families who have already settled their accounts. Kind regards, Libby Hamilton Calendar of Events September 16th - Term 3 Ends for students 17th - Staff PD School Closure.
