Message from the Head of DepartmentAs 2019 draws to a close it is good to look back over the year and remember the successes, learn from the less successful things, and look forward to next year. As a department we have had a lot of good news recently – and it is due to many different people stepping outside their comfort zones. Well done! I foresee that next year is going to have some hills for us to climb. My challenge to us all, is to climb those hills in a way that sets each of us up with a base camp to choose the next mountain we want to climb – in other words address next year’s challenges in strategic ways that will make things easier in future years. And in the meantime have a well-deserved break! Best wishes,Alison Rodger Department Updates Faculty of Science & Engineering Staff AwardsThe annual Faculty of Science and Engineering Awards is held to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our staff in the faculty across all areas including Research; Learning and Teaching; Professional and Technical.
