Dear Parents and Carers,

The process for applying and becoming part of the Elite Competitors Program at JPC has been revised, in consultation with Catholic Education. A JPC Elite Competitors Committee has been formed to support students in this program and assess submitted applications.

As a result of our consultation and to ensure that we are compliant with relevant Education legislation, we are now releasing the updated Elite Competitors Policy for 2020 (superseding the version sent on the 10th of February). Please follow the instructions in this policy, noting the email address has been changed to elitesport.jpc@cg.catholic.edu.au. Unfortunately, any information that has been sent to the old address will need to be resent. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

If a student in your care is competing for a significant amount of time in their field of excellence, representing at a National or State/Territory level, they may feel the need for special consideration in some areas of their education.

Please read the attached policy and follow the application details. The last page outlines the information required and asks for written documentation of the student’s sporting commitments. This should be supplied in electronic form by attaching it to the application form and emailing to

elitesport.jpc @cg.catholic.edu.au.

Please note that students need to apply for this program every year.

Applications close Friday 28th of February and applicants will be notified of the outcome ASAP.
