Regional Mid-sized Tourism Facilities Grant FundThe Regional Mid-sized Tourism Facilities Grant Fund is for mid-sized infrastructure projects that deliver facilities utilised by visitors, enhance the visitor experience and help communities maximise their tourism growth potential. The Fund reflects the reality that some districts have a limited ability to respond to the pressure caused by visitor growth, because of funding constraints such as low ratepayer bases. The Fund will provide the support needed so communities can afford to fund visitor-related facilities such as toilets, carparks, waste disposal and minor water management projects. Food businesses that are operating from a marae, and selling food, will be regulated in the same way as other food businesses. The requirements will depend on the type of food business involved. Co-investment Opportunities from NZ Story NZ Story seek to encourage the promotion of New Zealand businesses in international markets. They recognise that creating video content can be expensive and not all businesses have the funds to tell their story. As a result, they’re offering selected internationalising businesses a co-investment payment of up to 50% of the cost of producing a video (to a maximum value of NZ $7,500). NZ Story have compiled a list of production agencies who are experts in showcasing New Zealand’s uniqueness to the world. It’s called the Creative Collective – and with grants of up to $7,500 available, it’s a great way to give your business a head start. You can apply for the next round of funding here. Hospitality Training Trust – 2017 Grants Do you have a great training idea you would like to see adopted in the hospitality sector? Or an outstanding trainee who would benefit from specific training? Or a project related to hospitality training? Funds are available for distribution to associations, companies or individuals for projects or ideas that will further the aims and criteria of the Trust around building excellence across the hospitality sector.
