Monday night Area Five Democrats endorsed Sylvia as the leader they want in Austin to fight for education, fair wages and healthcare. Sylvia was humbled to receive the first organizational endorsement of the campaign and will work hand in hand with the committed Democrats of Southeast Harris County to win this election.

Last Saturday volunteers joined Sylvia and her family at her home to sign up for blockwalking, phone banking and putting up yard signs. Volunteers visited with Sylvia, asked questions and met the campaign team. Her Campaign Manager, Terrysa Guerra, comes to our Campaign fresh from a historic win in re-electing State Senator Wendy Davis in Ft. Worth! Sylvia challenged everyone to join her in shaking off all the turkey and football by blockwalking this weekend.
