CLUBS

TIME TO REVIEW AND UPDATE INCORPORATED ASSOCIATIONS RULES

EWA would like to remind clubs that the Department of Commerce's Associations and Charities Branch are advising that all incorporated associations are required to review and where necessary update their rules (often known as the constitution) to ensure the document complies with the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (the Act).

Associations have until July 1, 2019, to comply, but Consumer Protection recommends that associations start the review process now. Download the Information Pack 3 for a step by step guide on how to review and update the rules to meet the new requirements.
