We are thrilled to welcome the Series Producers of two of FREMANTLEMEDIA'S flagship television series' WENTWORTH and NEIGHBOURS, in Term 4, 2015.

The cast and production team of award winning series WENTWORTH is led by the very talented series producer Amanda Crittenden. The series debuted on Foxtels SOHO channel in May 2013 and the first episode became the most watched non-sports program ever on Australian subscription television. WENTWORTH has since been sold to more than 20 countries. The internationally acclaimed drama is now in its fourth season.  As series producer, Amanda has been, and continues to be, an integral part of the shows ongoing success. Prior to WENTWORTH, Amanda has worn many creative hats including those of production secretary, production co-ordinator, production manager, line producer, series producer, and now executive producer.  She has worked on several award winning television series including NEIGHBOURS; WINNERS AND LOSERS; KILLING TIME; CITY HOMICIDE; CRASHBURN; ROUND THE TWIST; CRASH ZONE; OCEAN GIRL; SKY TRACKERS and THUNDERSTONE.  Her feature film credits include: THE WEDDING PARTY; STRANGE BEDFELLOWS; THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS; THE MATRIX RELOADED; THE BIG STEAL; KOKODA CRESCENT; THIN RED LINE; FLYNN and CROCODILE DUNDEE 2.

Jason Herbison has worked at the forefront of Australian television for nearly three decades. The Series Producer of Australia's iconic television series NEIGHBOURS, has written and produced thousands of episodes of television for many shows including HOME & AWAY; SHORTLAND STREET; ALWAYS GREENER; OUT OF THE BLUE; ABOVE THE LAW; BREAKERS; PACIFIC DRIVE; FLIPPER; ECHO POINT and PARADISE BEACH. He has also written several award winning novels.  Jason took over the role of Series Producer of NEIGHBOURS from Alan Hardy in 2013 and is now responsible for steering the show.  From putting together a creative and talented cast and crew, to turning story ideas into entertaining and profitable television, Jason has the enormous task of ensuring the day-to-day smooth operation of Australia's longest running and most successful television series.  We are so excited to have these two industry veterans join us in Term 4, where they will impart their wealth of industry knowledge and critique our actors work.

Conducted by one of Australia's most loved actresses Pia Miranda (LOOKING FOR ALIBRANDI; WENTHWORTH; TIME OF OUR LIVES), as well as invited industry guests Amanda Crittenden (WENTWORTH) and Jason Herbison (NEIGHBOURS), the Text to Screen-Test Program has been meticulously shaped to guide and encourage students to work on their specific areas requiring development, whilst bringing forth their strengths when screen-testing for prime time drama.  Pia will work with actors both individually and as a company, assisting students to POP from moment one of an audition. Please see below for a breakdown on what to expect from this fantastic program. Scenes are assigned to students each week (one week prior to their next class) along with an outline on the course content and prep work for each session.

For actors who participated in previous terms, they have another opportunity to work in this ongoing manner with our outstanding trainers & special guests. Continuing across the terms ensures stability in training & rehearsal, and consistency in terms of the guidance & feedback offered, with scenes selected to target specific areas of weakness and strength. The studio also welcomes actors to the program who have not participated in previous terms as they can begin this process, leading to a stronger understanding of the requirements of screen testing.

In the final weeks, students will be able to put their hard work into practice during their one-on-one screen testing session with Series Producers Amanda Crittenden and Jason Herbison. This is an incredible opportunity for our actors to meet and greet Amanda and Jason, and to showcase their scenes to working professionals who are at the very forefront of the Australian film and television industry.

Amanda Crittenden: Series Producer (WENTWORTH)

Amanda has been working consistently in the Australian film & television industry since the early '80's.  Throughout this time she has establshed herself as one of the finest televsion producers in the country.  Her most successful series to date, WENTWORTH has tallied up an unprecedented amount of industry awards.  With season 4 tipped to be the best season yet, we can't wait to see what Amanda has in store for 2016 and beyond.

Jason Herbison: Series Producer (NEIGHBOURS)

Jason has always been a massive fan of NEIGHBOURS.  He has worked on the show in every capacity for many years.  He has written for the programme over the years, and as a journalist he's also written about the programme so it was not surprising when he was offered the role of Series Producer in 2013.  Jason's extensive knowledge and experience in prime time television has taken NEIGHBOURS in a whole new direction, as it celebrates it's 30th year on air.

Pia Miranda: Actor/Trainer
