LETTER

Hi all,

Glenn
One.
GLENN

Today is not just my birthday (thanks!) but also the official release date of the super new issue of Fantastic Man. Drumroll! ■ We made four different covers for you to pick your favourite. One of them is with GLENN MARTENS, who tells an incredibly frank and personal story between pages 110 and 121. Now online, if you cannot wait for your paper indulgence. ■ The story involves love, parents, pets, and of course, a genuine attachment to fashion. He makes DIESEL and MAISON MARGIELA, as you know. ■ ILYA LIPKIN and ROBBIE SPENCER made the glorious portraits.

Because we love KAREL MARTENS, and there’s still his solo show at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (it’s great), we’ve dedicated one of four covers to him, the Dutch graphic design master. ■ It’s an info-heavy and touching story by EMILY KING with amazing photos by PAUL KOOIKER. ■ This is a limited edition cover, so be quick and/or order it in our handy webshop.

SKEPTA

The British musician, rapper, artist and fashion entrepreneur, shot by OLIVER HADLEE PEARCH and GERRY O’KANE, has his own cover too. ■ Brace yourself for JASON OKUNDAYE’s sweeping portrait of him. Imagine the artist standing topless in front of a mirror, contemplating the exact fit of a pair of denim shorts – from SKEPTA’s own fashion line, MAINS. “Just a tiny bit sexier…” he says. “Or maybe they’re just not my size.” ■ Coincidentally, London Fashion Week is happening this weekend, with MAINS scheduled for Saturday night. Talk about timing!

SANG

And there’s one more really stunning cover featuring the artist SANG WOO KIM. Fashion fans may know his face – he’s a bona fide supermodel, but these days he’s refocussing on his original career plan as a painter of the most meticulous self-portraits. (He shows with Herald St in London.) ■ It’s a pretty story with images by PHIL ENGELHARDT and HISATO TASAKA.

Off to your newsagent!
