Rio Olympics bronze medallist Shane Rose proved he is well on target for this September’s FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA, after a dominant display at the Australian Eventing Championships at Equestriad last weekend.
PESSOA INSTILS PRINCIPLES IN AUSTRALIAN RIDERS
Global jumping legend Nelson Pessoa, now a member of Equestrian Australia’s FEI World Equestrian Games Eventing Coaching team, conducted his first training clinic with some of the nation’s High Performance athletes at the Wellington Riding Center in Hampshire, UK.

ENZINGER JOINS EA HIGH PERFORMANCE PANEL
One of Australia’s leading Eventing riders and coaches, Will Enzinger, has been appointed to Equestrian Australia’s High Performance Panel.
He will fill the position formerly held by the late Gillian Rolton (AM).
ANDREW HOY AT THE WEG TRYON 2018 TEST EVENT
Read the excellent story written by seven-time Olympian Andrew Hoy on the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018 Eventing Test Event that took place last week at the Tryon International Equestrian Center (USA).
The week served as a WEG Test Event and riders caught a glimpse of what is to come this September.

Equestrian Australia’s Eventing Chef D’Équipe Stuart Tinney and Green Squad member Emma McNab attended the recent FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018 Test Event (The Fork CIC3*) at the Tryon International Equestrian Centre and the top riders gave the facility the thumbs up.
20 YEARS OF PSI DRESSAGE & JUMPING WITH THE STARS
PSI Dressage & Jumping with the Stars hosted the Australian Young Dressage Horse Championships from 22-25 March in Werribee, alongside the Young Dressage Pony, Young Jumping Horse and Young Eventing Horse classes, and for the first time a Led Class event.
DONATE TO EQUESTRIAN GRASSROOTS WITH THE ASF
To encourage new people into horse riding and to support our growing membership base, Equestrian Australia needs funding for clubs to improve facilities, run membership initiatives and develop equestrian activities within the community.
EA plans to support and develop more accessible events and competition series to bridge gaps so riders of all ages and skill levels can continue their progress within the sport. Funding is also needed for resources for junior development.

JAMIE HOCKING AT THE FEI SPORTS FORUM 2018
The seventh edition of the FEI Sports Forum 2018 was held in Lausanne (SUI) in late March. Youth was the focal point of the first day of the FEI Sports Forum, with a dynamic panel of eight successful youth athletes from around the world, including Australian vaulter Jamie Hocking. This new generation represented all disciplines and debated a wide range of topics during three separate sessions.
