Reigniting Adelaide with free city parking and moreAs part of Reignite Adelaide, the City of Adelaide is introducing support initiatives for businesses to enable you to better optimise your space, reduce your fees and risk and encourage you to invest and innovate. #GoToTown/FOMO FridaysOn Thursday, #GoToTown was launched by the State Government, SATC and Adelaide Economic Development Agency, a campaign which aims to drive visitation and expenditure in the city. FOMO Fridays, running from 17 September to 8 October will be one of many drawcards along with business offers and events. We encourage all city businesses to get involved. Digital Marketplace EOIAEDA is seeking expressions of interest to be part of an online digital marketplace encompassing businesses from the Adelaide CBD and North Adelaide. This new website will allow consumers to buy directly from city businesses. ATDW Support HubThe Australian Tourism Data Warehouse is a great way to promote your business, events and deals. It's free of charge and means your listing pulls through to multiple websites, include Experience Adelaide. AEDA Advisory Committee OpportunityDo you have a passion for Adelaide and growing its economy? We are seeking expressions of interest to serve as a member of the AEDA Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee will be a conduit between the AEDA Board and broader city stakeholders to ensure the views of a wide range of industry sectors and businesses are provided to the AEDA Board. Future ForumThe second Future Forum event for 2021, ProtoCity on 15 September will be a cross-disciplinary discussion about what will be required to holistically improve how our city functions and serves its citizens. Leading the discussion will be Ross Harding from Finding Infinity, who will share the work they are currently delivering in terms of self-sufficient architecture and cities. CoA CEO AppointedClare Mockler has formally commenced in the role of the City of Adelaide's Chief Executive Officer. In August, it was announced that the City of Adelaide Deputy Chief Executive Officer had been chosen to lead the organisation, in an unanimous decision of Council. Clare joined CoA in 2002 and has led business transformation and policy reform across the organisation, through multiple senior roles. Flower Day EOIWe're calling all florists, garden suppliers, horticultural groups, schools and community groups to see if they'd like to get involved with the long-awaited return of Flower Day on Thursday 23 September.
