Weekly Time Media Coverage

A wonderful article about Saddleworld MI3DE by the Weekly Times Click Here.

FEI presidential at MI3DE

Ingmar De Vos , the new president of the FEI visited MI3DE as part of his first ever tour down under.
Princess Haya retired in December 2014 and Ingmar, as the incoming president had flagged a visit to each of the 9 Nation groups and the 133 member countries of which Australia and New Zealand were the first countries to be visited . Ingmar thoroughly enjoyed watching the Ready, Set, Trot program and was enthusiastic about the inclusion of non horse related activities as a way of bringing equestrian to non horse owners .He congratulated the organising committee on the delivery of a fantastic International Event and commented about the wonderful, cheerful volunteers who are such an integral part of the running and success of events.

Dressage

CDI-W @ MI3DE

We at Dressage Victoria could not be happier with the response from the equestrian community to the arrival of a CDI-W at the Saddleworld Melbourne International 3 Day Event.
Firstly the riders and their supporters provided the funds for the event to take place. The crowd of 1,000 eventers and dressage fans who filled the indoor arena providing a atmosphere filled environment for the horse and their riders.
Congratulations to John, Maree and Sue for placing 1st, 2nd & 3rd and for attracting some very favourable comments from our visiting judges.
Many thanks to Deb McNicol, Iole Brzozek and Sue McKay for making this happen. A huge thanks to Janet Houghton and her amazing team for inviting DV to run the CDI-W. The live streaming by Equestrian Life also produced many favourable comments from an even wider audience which all helps administrators to front up again next year.

2015 Equestrian Australia Awards

Australian Showjumping Championships - Equestrian Australia Event of the Year

The Australian Showjumping Championships received the highest accolade at the recent Equestrian Australia Awards being named the Event of the Year.  Event Director Annie White said “This accolade is shared with all those working to produce such a high calibre event.  The committee members work tirelessly for the whole year to ensure all stakeholders are catered for and are to be commended for such a fine job.  It could not happen without our principal partners in the Victorian State Government, Werribee Jeep, Barton Equine, Cseti Trust  and all our sponsors so a big thank you is sent their way.  The televising of the event aired on FoxSport  and live streaming has now given us access to non-equestrian spectators that is very attractive to our sponsors in return for their investment.   The officials and volunteers that provide the backbone of the competition to ensure the jumping presented is of a truly high standard worthy of a National Championships must also must be acknowledged. ”
The fourth running of this prestigious event is set for Sept 17-20th and we look forward to another successful year.  Any companies interested in sponsorship are welcome to contact Annie White on 0432077028 or email jumping@equestrianvictoria.com.au  If you are interested in volunteering, you can click here to be taken to the online form to register  and our Volunteer Co-ordinator Caroline Price to contact you and discuss.  Trade Village enquiries can be sent to Ang Dobbin on glenwoodpark@bigpond.com  We look forward to seeing you there!

WPNEC

Equestrian Victoria would like to introduce the new face of Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre,
Laura Reid.

Laura has recently started at WPNEC having previously worked as a Surgical Veterinary Nurse in the Geelong region. Her passion for all things equine started at the early age of 2 when her parents sat her on a pony and realized she had a “good seat”. Many equine partnerships later and Laura is now introducing her OTT “Only He knows” better known as Samuel to the show ring. We would like to thank all our EV members for their patient and understanding during this transition time with WPNEC.
