As we approach 2025, the aerospace industry stands at a critical juncture. We face a rapidly evolving landscape shaped by both technological advancements and global challenges. The year ahead promises to be transformative, with innovation continuing to push the boundaries of what can be achieved. Yet, alongside these exciting opportunities, the industry faces a series of pressing challenges.

Climate change and sustainability have become non-negotiable imperatives, pushing aerospace companies to accelerate the development of green technologies and reduce their environmental footprint. Cybersecurity is also more important than ever as the increasing digitalisation of the industry opens the door to potential vulnerabilities. Meanwhile, ensuring the resilience of the industrial ecosystem, both in our supply chain and manufacturing processes, remains a key priority as the world adapts to post-pandemic realities and ongoing geopolitical shifts.

ADS Toulouse events throughout 2024 have highlighted how these challenges are being tackled across the industry. Those topics were prominent at our Annual Event in October where we heard from Sabine Klauke, Airbus Chief Technical Officer as well as during our Meet the Speaker series with Airbus Procurement Strategy and Operations. Discussions at these forums underscored the importance of collaboration, innovation, and strategic investment in addressing these issues. We are committed to continuing these vital conversations with you throughout the upcoming year.

As 2025 promises to be a year of both transformation and tough decisions for aerospace professionals across the globe, we will continue to support our members to succeed. The insights and expertise shared at ADS Toulouse spotlight the latest trends, innovations and strategic shifts shaping the aerospace sector’s future and confirm industry's determination to meet this moment of change.

Wednesday, September 11th: Site Visit Safran Helicopter Engines 
A large delegation of ADS Toulouse members drove to Bordes attending a tailored-made program at the Safran Helicopter Engines site.

Thursday, October 3rd: ADS Toulouse Annual Event 
Highest attendance at our 25th Anniversary Annual Event reception, where we were honoured to welcome our highly esteemed Guests of Honour: David Lockwood, ADS Group President; Sabine Klauke, Airbus Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President Engineering of Commercial Aircraft; Minister Jack Sargeant MS, Welsh Minister for Culture, Skills and Social Partnership and Minister Sarah Jones MP, Minister of State at both the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the Department for Business and Trade.
We once again witnessed that our event remains the perfect forum to discuss Aerospace innovation, allowing exceptional networking opportunities and highlighting the well-established British-Franco relationship and synergies.

Tuesday, November 5th-Wednesday, November 6th: UK Space Delegation
In collaboration with our ADS colleagues we hosted a Space Delegation for an exciting two-day program. Focused on collaboration and growth between UK and France as well as getting opportunity to understand the French Space ecosystem. Visits of the CNES and Airbus Defence & Space were the highlights of the program.

Thursday, November 14th: Meet the Speaker with Airbus Procurement Strategy & Governance
We were pleased to dive into Airbus’ Procurement Strategy, which places a strong emphasis on  ESG and Sustainability. A fantastic presentation from Emile Colongo, Airbus HO Procurement Sustainability and Magali Collet, Airbus SVP Procurement Governance and Strategy, on Airbus’ sustainability commitment and approach within supply chain. Great presentations from Harriet Wollerton, ADS Services Director, Overseas on ADS Group ESG initiatives and from our members on companies' Best Practices.

Wednesday, November 27th: Member Visit ~ GARDNER Aerospace
The ADS Toulouse team had the great pleasure to visit Gardner Aerospace site in Mazères. We explored the 7,500m2 facility and learned more about Gardner's advanced capabilities, including implementation of detailed components into complex assemblies and streamlining production for their clients, thanks to its vertical integration.
