Megan Daley - Author Talk

Start the school year armed with tips and tricks to support your young reader.

Join author and award-winning teacher librarian Megan Daley as she unravels the mystery behind schools, the teaching of reading, and how you can best support literacy development at home.

Megan’s aim is to empower parents, carers and educators of primary school aged children to take an active role in fostering their child’s lifelong love of reading.

10am Friday 17 January at Victoria Point Library

Free event. Bookings essential.

Craft will be available for children during this event.

New Mobile Library Timetable

Come along to the Mobile Library as we visit neighbourhoods, nursing homes, childcare centres and community events.

We have rolled out an updated time table for the new year. All the Mobile Library stops times and locations can be found in the calendar available online.

School Holiday Activities

There are still plenty of school activities on offer at our libraries. Several sessions are drop in activities that do not require bookings, so please pop in to your local library on the day for some free school holiday fun.

Join us while we are out and about for a fun filled session of storytelling, craft and other activities.

Quandamooka Experience

Join Matt Burns as he shares the Quandamooka experience through dance, face painting and the didgeridoo.

Is your New Year’s Resolution to focus more on your health?

Words for Wellbeing might be helpful. This initiative provides a collection of useful, evidence based self-help resources that have been recommended by health professionals and organisations directly involved in healthcare.

All the books listed are available for loan.

Public Holiday Closure

All our libraries will be closed on Monday 27 January for the Australia Day Public Holiday.
During this time no items will be due and all after hours return chutes will be closed.

Harry Potter Book Night

Make a date in your diary to celebrate J.K. Rowling's wonderful series with fun Hogwarts and Triwizard Tournament inspired activities.
