Think! Turn them off!

As we shall be away from work for a long time, remember to turn off all non-essential equipment such as PCs, monitors, printers and chargers. It is important to do so in order to help our university save electricity and reduce our environmental impact.

 

Last year during the Christmas break we managed to save nearly 29,000 kgs of carbon from being emitted

 
 

'Don't Throw It, Give It' campaign

You can now donate your surplus food, clothes, and books to our Students' Union. With the launch of the 'Don't Throw It, Give It' campaign, you can give a second life to your old possessions.

Food such as cans, soups, beans, or pasta will be donated to the Real Junk Food Project and food banks around Leeds.

Books and clothing go to the SU's Thrift Shop where they will be sold at an affordable price.

Dr Bike

 

Come along to our free bike check-up at the Rose Bowl Atrium. Dr Bike will check your brakes, gears, and provide free cycling advice.

Now that it is getting darker earlier you might want to make sure you have some good quality lights on your bike. Affordable bike lights and locks on sale.

As a fantastic alternative to the traditional Christmas dinner, this is a hearty pie, perfect to grace any table. Serve with roast potatoes, carrots, sprouts, cranberry sauce, all the trimmings and, of course, delicious homemade gravy.
