A Not Quite Grand “Grand
Opening” Next SabbathHow can you possibly have a Grand Opening that is not quite “grand”? It’s not too difficult, actually. First, pick a future date your major renovation project should be completed and lock it into the calendar. Then add the days your 5-star roofing crew has to take off because of inclement weather (read rain). Then factor in the usual ebb and flow the building industry operates by. And then recalculate the date you’ve already announced.
But the good news is—rain or shine—finished or not—we’re going to gather next Sabbath (October 26 both services) to celebrate what God has done over this historic summer in renovating his House of Prayer for All People into this showcase sanctuary for his glory. Nothing but the best for the Lord of Pioneer. We have every reason to joyfully worship him.
Please be clear—this is not the Dedication Worship Service that is yet to come. That high day arrives when the last dollar for Renovate: Heart & House is paid off! And by God’s grace, that day doesn’t have to be far away.
But in the meantime let’s join together in praising God, thanking our renovation crews, and celebrating the Lord who always finishes what he starts. It will be a memorable Sabbath worship. (BTW don’t miss the two GenZer artists who will be displaying their creativity next Sabbath: “A DIY Guide How to Paint Jesus: GenZ Eye Witness Account.”)
