Healthy Smiles Ontario Emergency and Essential Services Stream Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that modifications have been implemented to the Emergency and Essential Services Stream of the Healthy Smiles Ontario program.

Changes include the following:

• Emergency and Essential Services Stream eligibility coverage period has been changed to six months (previously 12 months)
• Each child/youth can enroll in Emergency and Essential Services Stream a maximum of three times in their lifetime (previously unlimited)

Patients that do not require emergency dental care, and meet eligibility criteria, can enroll in the Healthy Smiles Ontario Core stream. Please update your records and inform eligible patients about these revisions.

Evening Clinics Available in Niagara Falls

In 2025, Niagara Region Public Health will provide morning, afternoon, and evening clinics on Mondays for children aged 17 and under at our Niagara Falls office, located at 7835 McLeod Rd.
