Martha's Message

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all of you who came out and supported the school last Friday night at our annual BES Parent Social. It was truly a remarkable evening. The Social committee, under the leadership of Niki Philips and Stacy Nash, deserves great praise for organizing an amazing night. We exceeded our monetary goal because of your generous support! I thank you for the commitment you have made to the children and teachers at this school.

February was a very busy month, but one that ended successfully. As many of you know, January and February are our busiest times for enrollment. The entire faculty and staff joined forces as we toured prospective families and hosted admissions coffees. This year boasts a successful enrollment in PreK4 and Kindergarten and a strong re-enrollment on the McCormick campus in grades first through sixth. Each year, we maintain around 85% re-enrollment, and this year is no different.

It is important to me that you know our primary purpose is to serve your children by giving them the best education possible - academically, socially, physically, and spiritually. I have an open-door policy and would love to visit with you about your experience here at BES.

We look forward to partnering with our parents on many of our upcoming Spring events!

Fondly,

Martha Milton

"Havana Nights" Parent Social a Tremendous Success

Last Friday, we held our Annual Parent Social at the Atlantic Beach Country Club. It was a fun-filled evening with live music, delicious food, and fellowship with other BES families, faculty and staff!

We are excited to announce we raised $29,371 against a budget goal of $20,000! This is truly amazing, and we wish to thank Niki Philips, our Chair for the social, and her committee for all their hard work to make this event so successful. Funds raised will be used in a variety of ways, including curriculum enhancements, professional development for teachers, and campus improvements.

Please visit Stormes Hall in the Common Room to pick up silent and live auction items won at the Social. Thank you for your support of our incredible school during this year's event!

The Rays flag football team is playing hard and consistently working together to improve their skills. They have a lot of heart and keep playing hard through the end of their games. Great job to the team! Their next game is March 7th against Grace Episcopal Day School (location to be determined).
