With our inboxes and social media feeds burning with information and advice on Covid-19, for this edition of the Nutrition Evidence alert, we have put together a selection of articles for you from peer reviewed journals related to the immune system, so you can feel confident in the messages that you share with your clients.  Whilst we are constrained by lack of scientific evidence regarding diet or supplements that would prevent a person from contracting Covid-19, we are not paralysed by it. We can continue to serve our clients who want support for overall health and wellbeing, including their immunity.  This is bread and butter to Nutrition Practitioners and something we are well placed to do. The articles listed below cover the science behind dietary and lifestyle measures, as well as micronutrients, that have been shown to be supportive of immune system health.  We hope you find our choices stimulating.

BANT is producing a weekly Covid-19 bulletin for its members, to support them during these challenging times.  BANT members can read all these here.  BANT has also issued a public announcement regarding Covid-19 which members can refer clients to as required.

Stay safe and well during these unprecedented times.

In good health,

Miguel Toribio-Mateas, Editor-in-Chief
