The Present

The short film entitled "The Present" generated over a quarter of a million views and thousands of likes on YouTube. The animation shows a teenage boy sitting trance-like in a dimly lit living room playing a video game. A woman, his mother, suddenly staggers through the front door and walks into the room, struggling with a box, and places it on the coffee table in front of him. The boy is clearly irritated, moving in order to maintain his view of the game. His mom comments on the beautiful day and how he should let the sunshine in. To the annoyance of her son, who is still fixated on the game flashing across on tv screen, she pulls the curtain aside to fill the room with sunlight.. ...read more
