Bell Let’s Talk DayThe 16th annual Bell Let’s Talk Day will take place on January 21, 2026, a day dedicated to mental health awareness, acceptance and action. The theme of Bell Let’s Talk Day 2026 is taking a moment for mental health. Canadians will be encouraged to prioritize mental health and give mental health the moment it deserves. Moments to care for and stay in tune with your own mental health; moments to reach out to others and support their mental well‑being; and moments to recognize the broader societal importance of mental health, whether through flag raisings, school assemblies, sharing personal stories, or taking time to learn and listen. Be Safe in NiagaraBe Safe is a free mobile app in Niagara that is designed to support individuals in reaching out for mental health support. It can help the user make informed decisions and access relevant and reliable resources in Niagara. Be Safe can assist health care providers, teachers and parents with helping students make a safety plan. It can also be used by individuals to support a friend, family member or peer. New App!A new Mood app, by mindyourmind, helps you track your daily feelings, sleep, and activities to understand patterns, manage mental well-being, and reduce stress or anxiety, often using simple icons, notes, and visual charts to provide insights into your emotional health over time. Popular options offer features like habit tracking, self-care tips, mood journaling, and data export for more informed conversations with healthcare providers, though they are not substitutes for professional treatment. Know the link – Understanding psychosisPsychosis can happen to anyone, but some people are at high risk, especially if they are under age 25, have a family history of mental illness, use cannabis frequently or daily, use cannabis products that are high in THC or have a pre-existing mental health condition. Learn more about understanding psychosis. Suicide Awareness TrainingsDistress Centre Niagara is excited to share their upcoming safeTALK and ASIST sessions. These sessions provide unique quality suicide prevention training that empowers individuals, organizations, and the community to work together to keep people safe. Workshops are listed from January to May. Check them out for more information on cost, time and location. Drug Checking Services at Consumption and Treatment ServicesDrug checking services are available to clients of Positive Living Niagara’s Consumption and Treatment Services. People can find out what’s in their substance in less than 15 minutes to help gain an understanding of the strength and risks associated with the substances they are using. |
