Residents update8th December to 22nd December 2017Visitors centre & Hatch GreenWe have now completed the first phase of our visitors centre, which will begin a phased opening later in December. As part of the visitors centre we have also completed the landscaping to the Hatch Green area that will eventually form a public open space. Development Access B – near Rowan DriveThe majority of the works are now completed to the entrance, with the installation of the Toucan pedestrian crossing to be completed in early 2018. We are awaiting a confirmed date for the installation of the crossing lights. Development Access A – near Ellis RoadThe works commence on this access on 7th December. Traffic lights will be needed for safety during the working day but we will aim to remove the lights before the busy hours. The first activity will be the approved removal of trees to allow the access to be formed and the excavation of entrance and vision splays. No further trees, over and above those consented by the planning approvals, will be removed. Old Wokingham Road to Pinewood – Tarmac worksOur contractors are currently in discussions with Bracknell Forest Council about permission to carry out tarmac works to Old Wokingham Road during the nights of 19th & 20th December. All affected residents will receive separate notification, but we expect these works to require a road closure. As such, our contractors have been asked to complete these works during the evening/night. The works are expected to commence at approximately 8pm until early morning. Nine Mile Ride / Old Wokingham Road RoundaboutThe highway improvements phase of the works has now commenced, with our contractor carrying out excavation and widening of approaches to the roundabout. The works will continue behind coned off areas, allowing the roundabout to continue functioning without the need for traffic lights. Later in December, the focus will move towards closing up the work area for the Christmas Holidays. Housebuilding – Phase 1The construction of our homes has commenced to our first phase behind our visitors centre near Old Wokingham Road. Piling work will be ongoing during this period but we expect it to be completed for this phase, prior to Christmas. Earthworks, drainage and road construction will also be ongoing for the period. SafetyWe would like to take this opportunity to remind residents that whilst all reasonable precautions are taken, building sites can seem exciting to children but they can be dangerous places. We would ask parents to be mindful of children potentially trying to gain access to the site, particularly during holiday times. We would also like to take this opportunity to apologise to residents for any disruption our works may cause. We work hard to keep this to a minimum and we thank you for your patience with us. The next residents update email will be issued on Friday 22nd December. |
