Racial Disparities in Child Exposure to Gun Violence Worsened during COVID

Childhood firearm violence exposure increased for almost all non-White racial groups during the pandemic, according to a recent study led by Rachel Martin and Jonathan Jay.

Firearm Injuries Increased during First Year of COVID in Massachusetts

Led by Jonathan Jay, the study found that Black and Hispanic men who were unemployed were more likely to experience firearm injuries, highlighting the disproportionate consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic for marginalized populations.
