IMPORTANT : Access to the office during lockdown

Date: 5 August 2021

To: All Staff, Cardiff Office

From: Kerryn Vine-Camp | National Director, People and Corporate Services

Bryan McLoughlin | NSW Regional CEO

This process applies to employees who need to access Calvary Cardiff Office during a COVID 19 -lockdown period

The COVID-19 community transmission remains a concern within NSW. With the announcement today of the extension of the NSW lockdown to include Hunter and Upper Hunter we would like to advise Cardiff office based staff of restrictions.

Businesses that do not require employees to work from home if they are reasonably able to do so face a fine of up to

  • $10,000 for corporations and
  • $2,000 for individuals.

As a Healthcare provider, Calvary is in a position to grant access to the office for essential reasons by exception.

However, as all office based staff are supported to work from home there are limited occasions where accessing the office would be required.

Some of these include:

  • Health and Wellbeing- Staff have serious health and wellbeing (physical and/or psychological) concerns due to working from home and has made a request on that basis to return to the workplace
  • Equipment - Staff need access to essential equipment that is only accessible in the workplace
  • Applications - Staff need access to applications that is only accessible in the workplace
  • Privacy and Confidentiality - Staff require essential access to confidential information which can only be accessed and authorised within the workplace
  • Network Connectivity - Staff are unable to access the Calvary network from a remote location which is necessary for them to undertake their duties

If you need to access the office you must complete the attached assessment and forward it to Kerryn Vine-Camp at Kerryn.vine-camp@calvarycare.org.au at least 24 hours before access is required.

If your application is approved, you will be provided a letter outlining your exception and period of access.

During anytime in the office we strongly encourage you to follow the COVID safe rules and continue to abide by the expected behaviors of Calvary.

Thank you for continuing to work with us as we work hard to continuing to provide high quality care and look after one another.
