NEW PA VAN FOR SEC

The State Equestrian Centre is pleased to announce that work has begun on a brand new PA van for the venue. This was made possible by the McGowan Government’s Local Jobs Program grant where EWA was granted $63,000 by Jessica Shaw MLA, Member for Swan Hills.

The 6m x 2.4m purpose-built van is being constructed by All-Ways Caravan Hire and the PA equipment is being supplied by PAV. It will include large viewing windows, A/C, charging stations, a small fridge, lighting, storage space and a large bench. The audio system will include radio mics, headsets, 4 roof-mounted speakers plus portable speakers. These upgrades will offer a much better environment for our valued SEC volunteers and clients.

On arrival of the new van, the old Horseland PA van will be refurbished by All-Ways to get a couple more years of service, so in the future, two vans will be available for event organisers to use.

EWA would like to thank Jessica for her support with this project and we look forward to the arrival of the new PA van.

EWA STAFFING CHANGES

EWA has now completed the recruitment process for the position of High Performance & Athlete Development Manager and Events & Business Manager. The recruitment process was managed by Beeson HR Consulting and the selection panel included Jodie Beeson, EWA Treasurer Kathy Van Eykelenborg and EWA CEO Dwight Pedlow.

The High Performance & Athlete Development Manager has been filled by Sharon Welsh. Sharon brings to the role a wealth of experience in sport management and youth development. Sharon has previously been responsible for the EWA Interschools and Rising Stars youth programs which have seen great success over the past few years. Her knowledge of managing squads and developing new programs will continue to offer value to the organisation and our athlete pathways.

The Events & Business Manager position has been filled by Sara Botten. Sara has previously been employed by EWA as High Performance Manager and has a Bachelor of Business (Event Management) plus extensive experience in Equestrian sports and events management.
