Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are aware, we are holding our Year 10 Celebrations

on Wednesday 30 November.

Timings of the evening

We will begin with Mass at 5.30pm in the Hall and follow that directly with the Presentation of Year 10 Certificates and Awards Ceremony.

We will adjourn to the Terrace for light refreshments at about 7pm. 

The Social will begin at 7.30pm in the hall.

Parents and Carers are most welcome to attend at least the beginning of the evening.

The social will conclude at 10.30pm.

Dress

Dress for students will be Smart Casual, ensuring that students choose attire that is appropriate for all three of the components of the evening.  There is no expectation that student outfits be expensive.  For our boys, we would expect dress pants and a shirt; for the girls, outfits and accessories that are age appropriate and not revealing.  We would encourage the girls to consider carefully their choice of footwear, given the length of the evening.

Practical Considerations

• This event is for JPC Year 10 students and their families only. 
•  All Year 10 students will be expected to attend school on the day until lunchtime.  Should they be unwell during the day, it would not be appropriate for them to attend the Social.
• Catering for the Social is being done by the Year 9/10 Food Technology class and our own hospitality team and finger food will be served during the evening.
• If you are not planning to pick up your son or daughter at 10.30pm following the conclusion of the Social, please inform us in writing by Tuesday, 29 November, what the arrangements will be for pick up.

We are looking forward to celebrating this important mile-stone in your son or daughter’s educational journey with you.  Please RSVP, specifying how many guests will be attending for your family by Friday 25 November on the JPC College Website.
