In addition to the not-insignificant snow squalls — especially if you happened to be driving through one — that moved through the area on Monday, there was the temperature. And it was cold. How cold? Cold enough to set one record and tie another.

History time, boys and girls. PG Feed readers of a certain age will recognize this woman as Rose Mary Woods, Richard Nixon's loyal White House secretary. Woods took responsibility for erasing a portion of an 18-minute gap in a recorded Oval Office conversation that Watergate prosecutors were very interested in hearing. How did it happen? Woods demonstrated that for reporters, and the contortion — with one foot on a button under her desk and a hand on the phone waaaaay over there — became known as the "Rose Mary Stretch."
Why are we thinking about Rose Mary Woods and missing White House records today? Dunno — it just sorta came to us.
